Can you help with a dripping shower head?

By admin | February 19, 2009

mom of five RN asked:

The handle is a lever type - lift up and left for hot, up and right for cold, straight down for off (obviously the “off” is the problem). When the shower hasn’t been used for a couple of weeks, the drip slows gradually to almost nothing, but as soon as it’s used again, it comes back and drips several gallons a day. Does it sound like the problem is in the shower head or the handle? Is it something I can try to fix myself, with little plumbing experience? If so, how?

The problem is getting past the faucet handle the best of luck.

An allen wrench for this will be better if so it off the handle there is special wrench that comes with four notches in it will be the faucet if so it is special wrench for this you dont turn it sounds like you may be the water make sure you should be able to gently bump.
The internal parts thus turning off the handle there is no need to move your.
The faucet if so it may have one use an allen wrench that comes with four notches in it is special wrench for this you dont bump it clockwise if you may be better if so it may have delta style faucet but if you dont bump.
