Cleaning green buildup on shower heads?

By admin | July 2, 2010

Jonny Ganga asked:

How do I clean that nasty green and white buildup on my beautiful Kohler shower heads? I don’t think anybody (including previous owners) cleaned them, so they have likely been this way for a good 10 years. Are they worthless, or is there some magical solution at Home Depot? What exactly is it - hard water deposits or calcium deposits?!

Thanks!
