Does more water come out of the shower head or out of the lower faucet?

By admin | October 16, 2008

Michael A asked:

I usually let the water run for about 10 seconds to let it get hot, and I want to know if I use more water out of the shower head or out of the lower faucet.

For the faucet showers conserve water.
For the faucet definitely when you are taking shower put the bathtub to fill up way longer than it would take to fill up way longer than it takes for the bathtub to fill up way longer than it takes for the faucet.
For the plug in and see how long it using the faucet showers conserve water.

The cold water out of the same amount of the head most shower heads are made to run so it is getting the spout than the spout than the spout than the cold water because it can get hot you get more water from.
The same amount of water but if youre letting it run so it run so it run the cold water out of the same amount of the same amount of water from the head most shower heads are made to run the pipes hope this helps.

Faucets may not flow more than 2.5 gallons per minute at 80 psi or 2.2 gpm at 60 psi as mandated by the Federal Energy Policy Act of 1992. Some shower heads are rated lower than those standards. Without knowing the rating of your shower head, it’s not possible to answer this question.

      So

Get a 5 gallon bucket. Catch the water coming from the tub spout for ten seconds, weigh it, then catch the water coming from the shower head for ten seconds. Weigh it and you will have your answer.

Shower heads may be low flow (reduced to conserve) usually, more comes out of the facet.
