does the screen in the shower head really matter?

the screen airates the water and makes it less harsh coming out of the faucet

The more blockage you have for your body hence the water pressure which gives it might be not as hot because its taking longer to cool down know.

I found the screen helps with catching the debris in the water and from the pipes. Taking the screen out and cleaning it from time to time increased the water pressure somewhat since it was getting filled up with yucky stuff. I never experienced a difference in the water temp when it was clean or not. Adjust h2o tank to a hotter temp.
