Why does my shower head have low pressure, while the separate tub has great pressure?

Joe asked:
I’ve changed out my shower head and the old and new have the same lack of pressure. My tub, in the same bathroom, has great pressure. What can I do to increase the pressure to my shower head?

All new shower heads have a built in water restricter that keeps you from wasting water. That’s why your shower pressure stinks.

For the body of the water to to to to to the valve that has about 14inch hole in the expensive rain showers have good pressure to do this.

All shower heads are different. You probably have a cheap shower head, that has slow water pressure to save water. Go to Home Depot, and buy a new one. Just look at the box or package, and check it’s PSI Pressure (I’m pretty sure that’s what it’s called). Good luck.
